Since the mid-1950s, the Canby Kiwanis Thrift Store has been a part of the Canby retail scene, providing quality low-cost goods for our customers and the major source of funding for the Kiwanis Club’s many community projects.
The store is located along Highway 99E across from the Chevron station in the heart of Canby. Hours of operation are 9 to 5, Monday through Saturday. Most major debit and credit cards are accepted.
The store relies on quality tax-deductible donations from the community for its inventory, and the club is grateful for the longstanding community support it has received in this regard. Donations are accepted at the store’s rear service entrance on Southeast Knott Street between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day except Sunday.
In addition to selling goods, the store provides items for free to needy families who have been referred by churches, schools and other local charitable organizations.
Items for sale in the store include clothes, shoes, furniture, household and kitchen items, toys, picture frames, electronics, CDs, DVDs, books, collectibles and seasonal decorations. The store has daily and weekly specials, and also holds half-price sales for all items in the store about every three months. Customers continually compliment us on the low cost, high quality and wide variety of goods in our store.
Club members and other people from the community volunteer in the store at the checkout counter and by sorting and pricing goods for sale. More volunteers are always welcome.
The store’s mailing address is P.O. Box 1004, Canby, OR 97013. For more information on the store, on donating or on volunteering, please call 503-266-5245 .
